i was thinking today about how indians’ management wasted bartolo colon. what a shame. the current team would be considerably helped by some excellent starting pitching. (who knew during spring training that charlie nagy would be back in the rotation?) i’d be willing to wager that the expos – when they fall out of the national league east race – will hold whatever team chooses to make a deal for colon hostage for considerably more than the tribe got. colon’s salary of 4.95 million is easily one of the best bargains anywhere in the league for a starter of his caliber (after all, there are but a few of his caliber.) ah, well…shapiro and dolan still fail to consult me when they are considering a deal…
